Jeremy and Cadbury head for the south or France for 2 weeks for the Vidauban CDI
Jeremy was selected to compete in the Small Tour(PSG/IntI) and Valley for the 'Test of Choice' (Advanced).
Sadly Valley has been pulled out due to injury, but Sally was allowed to take Chloe's horse Cadbury in Valleys place.
The competition is very busy with 350 horses entered as it is the last Olympic selection event, so it a great oportunity to watch some of the best Grand Prix horses competing.
Vidauban is situated 30minutes for St. Tropez so we will hopefully see some sun and warmer temperatures than England!

Jeremy wins at Vale View High Profile Show November 2011
Jeremy and Sally made the long journey worth while by winning the PSG music with a great score of 73% just ahead of 2010 National Champion Emily Harris. Jeremy was on great form doing a test with out mistakes and our energy was helped along by some nearby fireworks! Jeremy always enjoys his Beetles soundtrack and liked the reward of the prize giving too!
Qualified for Winter Regionals 2012
Jeremy - Advanced Medium Open

Advanced Medium Music

Medium Music
28th Oct 2011 - West Wilts
A successful day at West Wilts for Doodle and Jeremy. They both gained the last part of their qualifications for the Regionals with a win for Jeremy and a pb score for Doodle at Medium of 69% and 2nd.
BRUCE - SOLD
Bruce has settled in very well to his new home and is enjoying 5 star accommodation and care from his new owner Lisa. He will continue to progress with his dressage career as well as benefiting for a lot of lovely farmland hacking. It was very sad to see Bruce leave Kingfisher after 7 yrs but we are all so glad that he has gone to such a lovely home. So best of luck for the future for Bruce and Lisa.
West Wilts - 2nd Sept 2011
A very hot but successful day at West Wilts for Doodle, Bruce and team. Bruce and Suzie won both Novice classes, gaining more points towards qualification. Doodle did a solid Medium 64 to win on 67% but was then a little tired for Medium 75 following 3 shows in 8 days but still managed a very good 2nd. So he will now enjoy a few days off and an easy few weeks before his next outing. Chloe also enjoyed her first outing at affiliated and her first outing on her new horse Cadbury.
Stourhead Show at Millfield - 29th August
Doodle completed a busy weekend by winning the 2 Mediums at Millfield despite a very spooky first test due to cross country jumps and builders sacks at the side of the arena, but he certainly wasn't the only one to find these terrifying! So he has now successfully moved up to Medium level having won 4 out of the 6 Mediums he has done in the last 2 weeks.
Moreton - Music qualifier at the Area Festival - 26th August
Doodle was a star and delighted us all by winning his first ever Music class. He did a lovely polished test to gain a super score of 75.94% in the Medium Music so he has qualified for the Winter Regionals for next February.

Barn Dance - Kingfisher held its first Barn Dance on the evening of Friday August 12th 2011, and judging by how much fun everybody had, this is set to become an annual event.
>
Dancing was to Hobson's Choice, a five piece folk band based in the Taunton area, and their caller made it easy for everyone to keep up with the action. About a hundred and twenty people young and old came along, and boy did they have some fun whipping each other around, and generally letting off steam! A welcome break half way through saw us tuck into the Hog Roast provided by Kingweston farmer Ashley Maunder, the bar of course was well attended, and then we had great fun with the raffle, that thanks to the generosity of many local businesses and individuals saw somewhere in the region of thirty great prizes on offer.
>
The evening was a resounding success with so many people having such fun, and even better, we are able to make a donation to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, our chosen charity.
>
If anyone is interested in using the venue for their function, and our Barn Dance surely proves its suitability, then contact Andrew Goodwin-Davis.. Details on our website.

It is with great sadness that we have to advertise Bruce for sale but if anyone is interested in becoming an owner and keeping Bruce at Kingfisher please contact Sally on 07967 440665.
This is a great opportunity to own a smart dressage horse and enjoy going along as the owner to watch at affiliated competitions, but also he is safe enough to learn on, or as a fun allrounder.
Bruce is a 16.3hh Black gelding by Elcaro who is half brother to the successful Pegasus MK (Anna Ross-Davies Grand Prix horse) As a 5 yr old Bruce qualified through to the Badminton Young Dressage Horse Finals. This year Suzie our head girl has had a great season competing Bruce always coming in the top 3 and qualifying at Prelim, Novice and Novice Music with scores ranging from 67-76%. Bruce is trained to Medium level, hacks out regularly on the roads and in open ground. He also loves to jump and isn't spooky. He enjoys life and loves going out to shows only needing a short warm up. He is very easy and great to travel on his own or with others. Bruce has big impressive paces and really catches the eye being black with 4 white socks and a white nose!
We would love to keep Bruce on the yard as he is such a great character and everyone's favorite!

Competition Results

West Wilts EC - 18th August
The first time in the lovely new arena at West Wilts proved a good outing for Doodle and Valley. Doodle won a large medium class on 64.8% on only his second test at that level and beating several good experienced horses. Valley did a lovely soft Advanced Medium to come 2nd on 70% behind winner Liz Diegutis. So she has now qualified very early for the Winter Regionals.

Kingston Maurward Regionals 25-27th July 2011
Bruce's fan club consisting of Suzie's family and supporters from the yard had a lovely day out on Monday with Bruce on a nice sunny day at the Regionals. Suzie rode a nice test in the Novice by sadly a error of course lost them the chance to qualify for the Nationals but they still managed a very good 9th in a big class. This meant staying for the fun part...the prize giving when Bruce was in his element and being admired by all! On the Wednesday it was Jeremy's turn to shine, he did a good test without mistakes but lacked a little energy. They finished 4th which was pleasing but annoying at the same time with 2 of the 3 judges having him 2nd and the other judge 20 marks lower!
**********************************************
Badgeworth 24th July
The start of a busy week for Kingfisher was Doodles dedute at Medium level. He was 2nd in the Elementary and the Medium. So a very exciting start to a new level for Sally and for Helen who owns him, as he only started affiliated in November!
************************************************
Bicton at Wellbeck 10th July
Doodle had a good day at Wellbeck to win the Novice on 73.4% and 3rd in the Elementary on 67.7% so its now time to move up a level.

Half Moon Stud 7th July - 2 wins in one class for Team Kingfisher with 76% & 74%!
A great day for Team Kingfisher with Suzie and Bruce leading the the way with a win in the Novice Restricted on a brilliant 76.8% Then Sally and Bona also did a good test but couldn't quite catch Bruce to win overall but still won the Open section on 74%. Bruce was then 3rd under a different judge on 66% in the Novice qualifier. Bona competed HC in the Elementary to gain a pleasing 68% which would have been enough to win if Sally was eligable to compete in the qualifier.
Wellbeck 2nd July 2011
Valley had a great day at Wellbeck to gain her best score at Advanced 100 with 69.4% but sadly went HC so she doesn't clock up too many points, so missed out on a 1st rosette! The class before was Advanced Medium 85 which she was 2nd on 67% which means she is half qualified for the winter regionals.
West Wilts EC - 22nd June 2011
A busy day for Team Kingfisher saw Bruce and Suzie gain the final part of their Novice qualification with 2nd and 68% and 67%. Sally took the ride at the last minute on Victoria Appleyards lovely mare 'Bona Fortuna' to come 2nd in both Novice and Elementary non qualifiers with 72% in the Novice. Just ahead of Helen Turners 'Doodle' by 1 mark to come 3rd in both classes with 71% in the Novice. All three horse went very well especially considering the torrential rain in the warm up. Resulting in very soggy horses and riders!
Kingston Maurward - Hickstead Masters Semi Final 19th June
Valley and Sally had qualified for the Semi Final having gained points from placings at Advanced Medium classes in the South West. They had ranked 3rd on points with the top 30 qualifying for the Semi Final. So with the standard on the day very high and Valley scheduled last to go in the class we worked out that to qualify by being in the top 4 she needed to get 67%. Valley did a great test to gain her best score to date of 68% to win the class and qualify for Hickstead at the end of July. So a very happy rider and owner on that day!
Wellbeck 11th and 12th June 2011
Doodle was a very good boy and gained 67% in both Elementary classes and came 2nd in the non qualifier. Valley on the next day had to do battle with wind and constant rain to win the Advanced Medium and then come 3rd in the Advanced Medium Music on 70% which gained her qualification for next years winter regionals.
Wellington Premier League - 7th and 8th June
Jeremy and Valley both had a very disappointing first test being extremely spooky and tense in the notorious International arena at Wellington, they were definitely not alone! However they got their act together for the music classes, with the floor plans having a last minute change to stay away from spooky areas. Which in Jeremy's case meant not going on the track at all! They both got in the mounted Prize givings which was very good for Valleys first Premier Leauge. Valley was 5th on 68% in the Advanced Medium Music. Jeremy was also 5th in his class the Wellington PSG Music Final on 67% which was great as being a final everyone in the class had won a qualifier to get there.
Sparsholt Music 21st May
Bruce and Suzie did their first Music class together to a Queen medley which suited Bruce very well. Bruce was a star not being fazed at all by the bigger atmosphere or the music to come 2nd on 69% which gained them qualification to next years winter regionals at Novice. He then went on to win the very large Novice qualifier on 68%.
13th and 14th May - Addington Premier League
Jeremy had a very consistent show at the biggest Premier League of the year gaining his Inter 1 qualifying mark on both days despite getting a 3 from both judges in one test for a large spook when entering up the centre line caused by a bird fight in the bushes!!
*************************************************
11th May Stockland Lovell - 3 Wins and a 2nd for Team Kingfisher.
Bruce and Suzie had a very successful day gaining their second part of of the Prelim qualification by winning on 69%. They also went on to win their first Novice on 70.77% in the qualifier. Sally and Doodle did a very consistent test to win the non qualifier on 70% and 2nd in the Elementary.
*************************************************
8th May - Kingston Maurward
Valley went well to gain 66% in the Advanced Medium 98 and 69% in the Advanced Medium Music coming 2nd and 4th. It was good to get such good scores following Sally only getting back from Sydney on the 6th so feeling rather jet lagged!!. Suzie our head girl did a great job at keeping Valley and Jeremy worked while Sally was away for the 2 weeks.

Watch Video Highlights and Sally at Sydney CDI 2011
Sally had a very successful time out on Sydney being awarded 'Best International Rider' as she gained the highest scores and placings of any foreign rider on a loan horse. She partnered 'Argyle' a lovely 15yr old 16.2hh grey gelding.
On the final day Sally was 2nd in the PSG Derby which involved the horses being drawn from a hat and 30minutes to get used to the horse before riding the PSG test. Sally rode 'Shinning Messiah' a 16hh chestnut gelding and was only 0.2% behind the winner. Being the only British rider she formed the Commonwealth Team with New Zealand rider Ottilie Upshall. The team came second behind Team New Zealand and just in front of Australia in 3rd as it was a very tight competition.
The prize giving was great fun which was firstly on horse back showing off the winners rugs and prizes. Then each Nation came back in riding on the back of Morgan sports cars with flags over the bonnets of the cars in front of a full evening crowd in the stadium.

17th April - Badgeworth
On the way back from the Nationals with Jeremy and Valley, Sally was dropped off in the lorry to meet Helen with Doodle at Badgeworth. Doodle went very well with no mistakes and achieved his best score of 69% to win the Elementary.
**************************************************
A lovely day was had by all in the sun at the Winter Nationals
Jeremy and Valley behaved very well with the atmosphere and did nice tests at Hartpury. Jeremy was 12th in the Inter 1 on 65% and Valley 16th on 64% in the Medium.
***************************************************
Rhett Bird Clinics
These clinics are proving very popular and beneficial so Rhett is now coming twice a month. His training is really helping Sally and his other pupils in preparing the horses for shows. These dressage clinics are open to all and there are a few spaces left on the clinic in April and May.
Exciting trip to compete in Sydney CDI
Sally has been selected to compete for Great Britain out in Sydney, Australia. At the end of April Sally will fly out to compete in a weeks competition against other international riders all competing on Australian owned horses. The competition is at Small Tour level, riding 2 PSG's and an Int 1 on strange horses which is quite a challenge but an amazing experience. This is Australia's largest show and it is held where the Sydney Olympics took place so the facilities are second to none.
**Wild Card for Valley and Danny!**
*Valley has gained a wild card to the Winter Championships at Medium Freestyle to Music to be held on 16th April at Hartpury College.
*Danny (Dance of Glory W) and Sammy Berry who are liveries at Kingfisher also gained a wild card at Elementary Freestyle to Music.
27th March 2011 - Kingston Maurward
Valley gained the final part of her Advanced Medium qualification for the Summer Regionals by winning the Adv Medium 98 qualifier on 67.11% This is her highest percentage for this test and all the flying changes went well so a very pleasing result.
26th March 2011 - Burrows Court
Our Head girl Suzie Maunder had a brilliant first outing on Bruce gaining a 2nd on 72% and 1st on 70% in large classes at Burrows Court. This means they are half qualified at Prelim Level. Suzie rode 2 mistake free tests gaining a 9 for a canter transition. Bruce was very well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed his day out in the sunshine.
Myerscough Premier League 11th and 12th March 2011
Jeremy and Sally had a very enjoyable but wet weekend up in Preston! The 6 hr drive was made well worth it when Jeremy came 2nd behind Paul Hayler in the PSG on over 66% with one judge having him to win. Jeremy was a little tired on the second day but still managed an 8th in the PSG Music Gala evening in front of a large noisy crowd! Jeremy went very well over the weekend and was on his best behavior with no spooking!
2nd March 2011
Jeremy was on form at Moreton Stables to win a large Advanced Medium qualifier on 74% He did a very consistent test with no mistakes.
*Success for Valley at South West Regionals*
Valley was consistent gaining 7th in both Medium Open and Advanced Medium Open and 10th and 12th in the two big music classes at the same levels with over 68% in both.
Jeremy was not so good, finding the Kingston Maurwards indoor arena with it's close judges tables far to scary to concentrate!!
12th Feb 2011
Valley won Medium 73 qualifier at Burrows Court to gain her final points for summer qualifications before she is out of points.
7th Feb 2011
Jeremy has a very good day at Wellington Riding winning the PSG freestyle to music on 71.4%.
